About
A workbench for everyday developer work
AllOfCode is a growing collection of practical developer tools, scripts and experiments, built to make everyday coding work simpler.
What AllOfCode publishes
- Tools: focused utilities you can open and use straight away. Each one has a page that documents what it does, what it doesn't, and how it handles your data. See the tools directory.
- Scripts: small scripts for recurring chores, each published with tested code, requirements, expected output and safety notes. None are published yet.
- Labs: experiments, demos and prototypes that explore how things work. Nothing is published in the Lab yet.
Where things stand
One tool is live today: SQL Compare . It compares two SQL queries or files and tells formatting changes apart from changes that may alter what the SQL does. More will be added when they are ready; there are no placeholder pages and no announced dates.
How we build
- Start from a real, repeated developer task, not from a feature list.
- Keep tools simple to open and use, with no account required.
- Run in the browser where possible, so your code doesn't have to leave your machine.
- Document limitations as plainly as features.
- Improve things as real needs come up.
About the “hacker” theme
The terminal look is about curiosity: taking things apart to understand them. Security-related content on AllOfCode is educational and defensive, and is meant only for systems you own or are authorised to test.
